About Me

Hello! My name is Anne. If you know me from online, you probably know me as
either Dr. Helmenstine or Azareal. Helmenstine is a little hard for most people
to say or spell. Azareal isn't much easier, but I've grown rather attached to it.
It's a name I used in an online video game.

I live on the coast of South Carolina. I'm trained as a research scientist. I have
been self-employed for a while now. I absolutely love it. I get to set my own
hours and choose my own projects. My primary contract is writing for
About.com.

I have four kids, a cat, a dog, and a couple of fish tanks. When I'm not online
I'm often at the beach. I have several hobbies and interests. The video game
that interests me the most at the moment is Civilization Revolution. I've been
trying to get back into making chain mail jewelry, but I can't seem to locate all
of my tools. I've been playing around with making videos. I need to write and
record some sort of music on my keyboard to jazz up those videos. I like to
drive and have a couple of long road trips planned for the near future.
